Senator Sakaja, MP Lesuuda listed among world’s top 100 influential leaders

Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja has been named by a London based global policy platforms for government among the world’s top 100 most influential leaders.

The platform, known as Apolitical, also listed Samburu West Member of Parliament Naisula Lesuuda in the list.

The two were celebrated as leaders aged 35 and below but who have made an impact in their political career.

“They are at the center of policy-making who are exerting influence on the international stage. But we also shine the spotlight on those quietly transforming the face of government at the local or national level,” said the body.

FORMER JOURNALIST

Senator Sakaja joined politics ahead of the 2013 elections when he was just aged 27.

It is worth noting that at that time he was the chairman of The National Alliance party.

In the last elections he ran for the Nairobi Senatorial seat which he won.

On the other side Ms Lesuuda is a former journalist who worked for KBC.

She joined activism with aim of preaching peace among pastoral communities.
