Telecommunications firm Safaricom confirmed it experienced service interruption on Friday.

In a response to a customer’s message on Twitter, the firm confirmed the hitch and said it was being resolved.

Various customers posted on social media about the matter, calling for prompt solutions and at the same time criticising the company.

Kimathi Githachuri (@Githachuri) wrote: “Appears like there’s a @SafaricomPLC complete network outage in #Kilimani area… in #Nairobi. Completely no access last 20 minutes now. @Safaricom_Care”

And the firm replied: “Hello, Kimathi. We have a network issue at the moment, but we are working on having this resolved soonest possible. Our apologies for the inconvenience caused.”
