Raila visits ailing city tycoon Chris Kirubi – PHOTOS


Nasa leader Raila Odinga paid a courtesy visit to ailing city tycoon Chris Kirubi at his home.

Mr Odinga was accompanied in the visit by his legal adviser Paul Mwangi.

The businessman returned home in March after a six-month stay in the United States where he reportedly received specialized treatment for a yet to be known condition.

In photos of their meeting, Mr Odinga is dressed in a blue suit while Mr Kirubi wears a truck suit.

Mr Kirubi looked frail and in one photo was sandwiched by Mr Odinga and Mr Mwangi.

Mr Kirubi, who is in his seventies, has wide-ranging business interests in publicly listed as well as private companies.

He is the single-largest shareholder of the Nairobi Securities Exchange traded Centum Investments with a 28.64 per cent stake.

His business interests are diverse, ranging from broadcasting, Capital Media Group, to manufacturing, Haco Tiger Brands.
