Prof Kibwana’s scholarly induction session for county executives excites social media


They say once a professor, always a professor; and indeed Prof Kivutha Kibwana is the personification of a real professor.

On Wednesday the Makueni governor took time off to personally induct his new county executives on how the national and county governments work.

This he said would ensure realization of the county plans by 2025.

Governor Kibwana shared snippets of the induction in his Twitter handle receiving a lot of applause online.

The professor wrote notes on a flip chart while at the same time taking the attendees through a projected PowerPoint slide.

Users lauded the governor’s dedication to ensure his executive understood his vision for the county.

Former Chief Justice Willy Mutunga wrote, “Hongera Mwalimu Kibwana.”

Richard Kagoe wrote, “The people of Makueni should be eternally grateful for having you as their inaugural County Chief, you have set the bar high on servant leadership showing that it’s the people that matter.”

Kiama Kiharu tweeted, “Bwana Gov, this is awesome. Leading from front. Keep the flame burning. Wishing you success and God’s favour.”

Paul Oketch Okello‏ wrote, “Teach them prof. Am proud of you sir. Show us that county government and still outperform National with meagre resources. May God watch you.”
