Police officer on leave stabbed to death in Huruma


An Administration Police officer, who was on leave in Nairobi, was on Tuesday night stabbed to death by unknown assailants.

The officer, who has been identified as Constable Francis Sande Mbai, was staying with his parents at Ngei One, Huruma.

According to police report, the officer had just alighted from a matatu and was heading to the house when he was attacked and stabbed on the neck.

The officer was attached to Kuresoi North AP post was rushed to Grace Medical and Laboratory services within Huruma where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police have launched investigations to establish the motive of the fatal attack since nothing was stolen from the slain officer.

The deceased body was transferred to Kenyatta University mortuary for postmortem.
