Police disperse anti-graft protesters in city centre – PHOTOS
Anti-riot police lobbed teargas cannisters on Monday to disperse anti-corruption protesters in the city centre.
The protesters, rallying under the #TakeBackKenya slogan, held the march to condemn corruption in government.
The protest was held as President Uhuru Kenyatta led the official Jamhuri Day celebrations five kilometres away at Nyayo stadium.
They were dispersed from the Tom Mboya statue on Moi Avenue, but reconvened at Jeevanjee Gardens and made a second attempt on the same road.
