Three foreigners on transit to China and India were on Thursday night arrested at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on suspicion of trafficking narcotics.

The police said one of the foreigners, a Tanzanian national, identified as Msafiri Musa, had concealed pellets of an undisclosed type of narcotics in his rectum to avoid detection.

Police added that the Tanzanian drug trafficker had so far emitted an additional 69 Pellets.

POLICE WATCH

Detectives have made an application at the JKIA Law courts for custodial orders to facilitate completion of the investigations.

Mr Musa and his accomplices are under police watch at JKIA to see if they could emit more narcotics.

The arrests come two weeks after police confiscated heroin and methamphetamine at General Post Office in Nairobi.

The drugs, weighing about 1kg and worth millions of shillings, had been hidden in wood carvings and rolls of thread. The drugs were destined for Greece and China.
