Plane crashes near Wilson
An aviation student and his instructor died on Wednesday when their aircraft crashed three minutes after taking off from the Wilson Airport.
The aircraft, belonging to the Sky Link Aviation, crushed in the middle of Nairobi National park killing Sam Gacheri and his student Ras Patel.
The cause of the crash is not yet known
Kenya Airports Authority Senior Security Officer Thomas Sikempei said the light aircraft left the airport at 9:15.
“It was the third learning trip that the instructor was taking. He had had two other trips with two different students,” Mr Sikempei said.
Langata OCPD Titus Yoma said the cause of the crash would be investigated.
The mutilated bodies of the two were taken to the Montesuna funeral home.
