No, Shabaab militants have not surrounded a village in Isiolo
Isiolo County commissioner George Natembeya has refuted claims that Isiolo child welfare centre has been surrounded by Al-Shabaab militants.
Instead, he said the Kenya Defence Forces soldiers from School of Infantry were going on with there normal trainings near the institution.
“This is a normal continuous training either in Isiolo or Archers post,” he said.
Mr Natembeya further added that KDF had alerted the County security team about their activity.
This follows rumors that the institution had been surrounded by Al-Shabaab Friday morning.
