These are the activities planned ahead of Nkaissery’s burial on Sunday


The late Joseph Nkaissery will be buried on Saturday at his Bisil home in Kajiado.

The joint funeral organizing committee chaired by Health Secretary Cleopa Mailu has released a schedule of the activities that will lead to the burial.

The committee held its first meeting on Monday morning to give the former Interior CS a befitting send-off.

“There will be a memorial service on Thursday, the 13th of July 2017 at the Nairobi Baptist Church along Ngong road. The service begins at 9:30am and is open to the public. Members of the public are advised to be seated by 8:30am,” read the statement by Dr Mailu in part.

Kenyans will be able to send condolence messages to Mr Nkaissery’s family through condolence books that will be available at Harambee House, KICC, Nairobi Baptist Church and all 47 county headquarters.

“Members of the late Maj-Gen (Rtd) Joseph Nkaissery family have also confirmed that the burial ceremony will be held on Saturday, 15th July 2017 at their home in Bisil, Kajiado,” stated Dr Mailu.

Mr Nkaissery died on Saturday night. The cause of his death has remain a mystery as investigators piece together his last moments to unravel the mystery.
