Nigerian pilot proposes midair after faking engine failure – Video
Nigerian pilot Tobi Layade proposed to his girlfriend aboard a private jet after faking an engine trouble.
Tobi had planned a trip to Jamaica with his girlfriend, but midway he created anxiety by telling her they had an engine problem and needed to go back.
The pilot, who works in the United Kingdom, captured the rare moment on camera and the transition of his girlfriend from troubled mind to an elated soul is evident.
In the video that he uploaded on his Youtube channel, Tobi told his girlfriend to help him out by reading out loud a document containing the plane details that he needed to check.
The girl, now his fiancé, was at first too scared to read out but obliged and midway she found a statement that made her go like “What the hell,” then after a moment of silence she shouted, “Oh my God.”
It was at that point that Tobi popped the ring and congratulatory messages from the controller can be heard.
