Faithfuls take over Nakuru town to celebrate woman’s resurrection by Prophet Owuor – PHOTOS


Hundreds of followers of renowned self-styled prohet David Owuor took over Nakuru town on Sunday afternoon to celebrate the alleged resurrection of a woman in West Pokot county.

Chanting praises of their prophet, the followers sung and danced across the streets as they waved twigs and placards.

Some were seen carrying copies of the July 1 Daily Nation and Taifa Leo newspaperswhich published the story of the alleged resurrection of a woman only identified as Mama Rosa.

They chanted “Yehovah amefufua Mama Rosa…Sio kuchanganyikiwa, ni Mungu” among other slogans.

Young and old faithfuls, braved the scorching Sunday afternoon sun to march along the street in praise of God and the prophet.

The followers later converged at Railway police station grounds where they held more celebrations.

They were drawn from various branches of the of Dr Owuor’s  Kings Outreach Church in Nakuru, Baringo and West Pokot counties.

Boda boda operators in Nakuru town were the greatest beneficiaries as they cashed in on the impromptu celebrations. They ferried the tired and elderly followers who could not keep up with the pace of their young and energetic colleagues.

Reports of the alleged resurrection of Mama Rosa from Cheparten village, in West Pokot county, on Friday shocked the country as hundreds trooped to the village to witness the ‘miracle’.

She is said to have died for two hours before the intervention of Prophet Dr Owuor, who allegedly prayed and successfully resurrected her.

Nakuru is the headquarters of the Kings Outreach Church led by Dr Owuor.
