Fashionistas poke fun at Martha Karua’s fishnet

Former presidential hopeful, Martha Karua, was on Thursday evening the subject of online ridicule for donning fishnet stockings with a lengthy skirt.

Ms Karua, who appeared on NTV for an interview on the overhaul of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), spotted black ankle boots and stockings.

Her appearance in the attire saw fashionistas pointing out the politician’s inappropriate style of dressing with messages on Twitter.

Ordinarily, lengthy skirts and dresses don’t require stockings but if someone’s preference is to fully cover up, the stockings ought to match the skin color.

Furthermore, fishnet stockings and boots of a design similar to Ms Karua’s are mostly for the younger women who are on a casual attire.

Such were the sentiments expressed by Kenyans on Twitter regarding Ms Karua’s dressing.
