Maraga’s quote that left Kenyans mesmerized
Supreme Court Chief Justice David Maraga on Friday left many Kenyans awestruck not because he made history by annulling a presidential election, but by what he said.
Without reading, the Justice Maraga made the quote that has since been shared widely by Kenyans.
“The greatness of any nation lies in its fidelity to the constitution and adherence to the rule of law and above all respect to God,” Justice Maraga said just before making the ruling on Friday morning at Supreme Court.
Many Kenyans praised him through social media for the ruling and his choice of philosophic message while delivering the ruling. Here are some the comments their shared:

This man CJ Maraga. Fearless, revolutionary and legendary. Lightening couldn’t strike twice on the same ground, NOT with this man of God.

When you fear God only, justice & fairness will rule the courts. On one of the proceedings, they began late because he had to go and pray.
