#KOT react to Kalonzo’s son’s nomination to EALA

Kenyans on Twitter on Friday lashed out at the nomination of Kalonzo Musyoka’s son, Kennedy Musyoka, to the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA).

Netizens accused the Wiper Party of favouritism, arguing that there are many young people who should have been given the chance.

Others however defended Kennedy’s nomination stating that he is qualified enough and should not be vilified for being the party leader’s son.

The opposition nominated four people to the EALA . Parties are supposed to submit nominees to Parliament, which picks only nine, five from Jubilee and four from Cord, for the regional legislative assembly.

Kennedy Musyoka garnered 22 votes out of the possible 26, beating Temi Mutia, who got one vote, and Zeith Omollo Ouma, who did not get any. Three people abstained.

Here are those who lashed out at Wiper’s move to back Kennedy’s bid.
