Kidero: I’m a performer who deserves a second term

Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has declared that a lot has been achieved under his watch and chided his opponents for only being interested in ousting him.

Dr Kidero said he has a clear agenda for Nairobi compared to empty promises being peddled by the Jubilee leadership.

“My main agenda for Nairobi is service to Nairobians and nothing else. We have a good plan that will take this city forward,” said Dr Kidero during a Church service at SDA Railways on Saturday.

The governor said he has managed to procure more lorries for garbage collection that are collecting 2,000 tonnes of garbage per day, up from 300 tonnes previously.

He urged the city residents to re-elect him to complete projects that he has initiated in the county.

“We must reject leaders who believe in violence. We want to have a peaceful county,” said Dr Kidero.

Former presidential candidate Peter Kenneth and Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko are eyeing the seat and have both intensified their campaigns across the county to unseat Dr Kidero.

They have blamed the governor for the poor state of affairs in the county including the hawkers menace, and poor garbage collection.
