Kibaki spokesman speaks out on his health condition
Mwai Kibaki’s spokesman Ngare Gituku has allayed fears that the retired president is in hospital.
Social media was awash with reports that the third president of Kenya had been hospitalised at Nairobi Hospital in critical condition.
But Mr Gituku rubbished the reports on Twitter.

Some social media users noted his choice of the word sanatorium.
Wikipedia defines it as “a medical facility for long-term illness, most typically associated with treatment of tuberculosis (TB) in the late-nineteenth and twentieth century before the discovery of antibiotics”.
Mr Kibaki is 86.
