Kenyans welcome DP Ruto to their homes after Moi snub

Kenyans online are welcoming deputy president William Ruto to their homes after he was denied access to former president Daniel Moi in Kabaraka, Nakuru.

Using the hashtag #KaribuKwanguDP, Kenyans on Twitter attempted to impress Ruto with the food and drinks they will prepare for him if he visits.

Ruto, who was accompanied by Energy Cabinet Secretary Charles Keter, Ainaboi MP William Chepkut and lawyer Stephen Kipkenda were welcomed to Moi’s Kabarak home and had lunch.

However they failed to meet the retired president as “he was undergoing routine physical exercise with his doctors”.

The lengthy wait that ended up with Ruto leaving Kabarak without meeting Moi has led to KOT welcoming the DP to their “humble aboards.”
