Jumwa to the rescue of Kilifi school children in flooded classroom

Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa came to the aid of her Ganze counterpart Teddy Mwambire after photos of a classroom in a deplorable condition within his constituency went viral.

Jumwa donated desks, cement and iron sheets to Mangororo Primary School, whose pupils were pictured sitting on bricks in a mud walled flooded classroom.

Ganze MP had blamed the previous legislator for the deplorable condition of the school and appealed for donors to assist, saying he had several schools in such conditions in the constituency.

Mwambire had also stated that his CDF kitty was unable to meet the needs to the dozens of schools in his constituency in needs of classrooms and desks.

JUMWA’S CONTRIBUTION

“Nimeshukru kuona shule ya msingi ya Mangororo imewekwa mitandaoni ili kubainishwa ukweli ulioko ndani ya Ganze. Niko na shule zaidi ya 30 eneo bunge la Ganze ambazo ziko hali mbaya hata zaidi ya shule ya msingi ya Mangororo. Wakati nikisema ninamzigo mkubwa ndani ya Ganze wa kushughulikia, wengi hunikejeli bila kutoa suluhu. Tunakubali kejeli na hatajali kusema kama ilivyo maana mficha uchi hazai,” he said.

Jumwa reached out to Mwambire and through her foundation offered 50 desks, 100 bags of cement and 300 pieces of iron sheets.

Jumwa shared photos of her visit to the school where she was received by elated pupils, parents and administration.

Mwambire who was absent as Jumwa toured Mangororo Primary thanked his colleague urging more donors to assist.
