Igathe puts city land thieves on notice

Deputy Governor Polycarp Igathe has put on notice land grabbers in the city, especially those stealing from education facilities.

Mr Igathe said that the county government will not only revoke title deeds, but will take those culpable to court.

Mr Igathe toured several county Early Childhood Development Education (ECDEs ) schools and vowed to aggressively protect education facilities for the benefit of the less privileged.

“Governor Mike Sonko’s administration will deal ruthlessly with land grabbers who have an undying appetite for public land,” he said.

The deputy governor received complaints ranging from grabbing of school land, illegal activities by the neighboring communities, encroachment of school land, vandalism and dumping of soil and garbage around schools compound.

Mr Igathe visited Upper Hill Day Nursery, Lady Northey Day Nursery, St Michaels Secondary School, st Bakita, Jogoo Road Primary, Kwa Njenga Primary, St Elizabeth Primary, Tana Day Nursery and Jogoo Road Secondary School.
