The identity of the woman who allegedly stabbed Television Star Jamal Nassor to death during a night party in Mlolongo can now be revealed.

Ms Grace Kanamu is suspected to have stabbed the actor to death using a kitchen knife on Tuesday night after the two picked a quarrel during a party at the Arks Hotel.

The actor was rushed to Shalom Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Forty year-old Ms Kanamu is currently locked up at Mlolongo police station and is expected to be arraigned in court on Thursday.

FB_IMG_1544652665759According to police, the actor died after a quarrel with his alleged lover, after he asked her why she was dancing and accepting alcoholic drinks from men who had attended a bash she had organised at Arks Hotel.

The two, who had been in the relationship for nine months, retreated to a nearby butcher’s shop to resolve their differences.

But rather than reach a solution, the disagreement turned violent, after which the suspect is said to have picked a knife and stabbed the 39-year-old star in the chest, causing heavy bleeding that led to his death.

The incident was confirmed by Athi River OCPD Sharma Wario on Wednesday.

‘GOT JEALOUS’

“According to our investigations, the man got jealous when he saw the woman being bought beer by other men. This led to an argument that later turned tragic. The actor was stabbed with a knife from the kitchen, leading to heavy bleeding,” said an officer from the Mlolongo Police Station Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), who requested anonymity as he was not allowed to speak to the media.

He said police received a call at 2am that the actor had been stabbed, and that the body was being taken to Shalom Hospital by two men, whom police are looking for.

Later, the two brought back the body to the scene of the crime. This was after the actor was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Ms Namulo, however, denied killing the actor, saying he accidentally fell on the knife.

The body has since left Nairobi for Mombasa, where the actor will be buried.
