Flying squad officers arrest Senator over mass grave claims
Flying Squad officers arrested Mandera Senator Billow Kerrow and three other Members of Parliament on Thursday.
The four were arrested at the Wilson Airport after landing from their Mandera trip.
Others who were arrested include Mandera West MP Mohammud Mohammed and his Mandera East counterpart Mohammed Hussein Ali.
They were driven to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters where they are being grilled by the head of Investigations Mr John Kariuki
They are being investigated for incitement to violence and giving false information allegations.
Senator Kerrow had on Wednesday led Mandera leaders in apologising over their claim of discovery of a mass grave in the county.
They regretted that their remarks at a press conference in Nairobi on Monday caused anxiety and panic among Kenyans.
Mr Kerrow said only one body was found at the site of the alleged mass grave.
