Five things about Sonko’s pastor caught up in ‘snake in church’ drama


Reverend Lucy Natasha over the weekend hit the headlines after a snake slithered out of a woman’s handbag during her prayer session in Embu.

The black snake with white spots is said to have crawled out of a black polythene bag as Reverend Natasha held prayers for people with various needs, sending the about 1,500 faithful inside Emco Hall scampering for safety.

The gorgeous pastor and founder of Prophetic Latter Glory Ministries International, has in the past prayed for Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko at his office and later at his late father’s graveside.

Here are interesting facts about the preacher.

1. She is a pastor’s daughter
Lucy Natasha is the daughter of one Reverend Esther Wanjiru, a senior pastor of Maximum Miracle Center – Kawangware.

2. She started preaching while in primary school
Having been born by a preacher mother, Reverend Natasha prides herself in early salvation that led her to start teaching at the age of nine.

3. She was ordained to a Reverend five years ago
Natasha was ordained into the office of a Reverend in 19th June 2011 at the Redeemed Gospel Church Headquarters by Bishop Arthur Kitonga.

4. She has a passion for the youth
Reverend Natasha once admitted that if she was not a pastor she would have been a youth counselor or life coach as she loves engaging the young people.

5. She is single
In an interview on KTN in January 2016, Natasha said she was single and that it is a season she was going through. She described her ideal man as a born again Christian, compatible with her and supports her in ministry.

Reverend Natasha loves cooking and her favorite recipe is fried vegetable rice, mashed potatoes with chilli chicken.
