The owner of a petrol station in Kasarani is counting heavy losses following an early Saturday morning fire that razed down his business premises.
No injuries were reported although the cause of the fire was not immediately established.
An attendant at the station who witnessed the incident said they heard a loud explosion moments before the fire broke out.
A vehicle which was being fueled at the station when the fire broke out was burnt to a shell before the Nairobi county fire engines arrived at the scene and managed to extinguish the fire.
All phone calls by Nairobi News to Kasarani OCPD Robinson Mboloi for comments on the incident went unanswered.
