Drama as former policeman ‘undresses’ at Langata police station

There was tension at Langata Police Station on Wednesday morning after a former police officer caused a ruckus at the entrance of the police station.

The former officer, Charles Kamau, 33, covered himself with sacks and lied at the entrance of the police station.

Some unconfirmed eyewitness accounts said he reportedly removed some of his clothes.

He said he wanted to speak to the Inspector-General of Police Joseph Boinnet.

Langata OCPD Elijah Mwangi however said the former officer appeared depressed and has since been contained.

He said the man resigned from the police force in January but has been hanging around the station.

“He did not remove all his clothes. He appears disturbed and has been walking around with a bible and a Koran. We have contacted the family,” said Mr Mwangi.
