DP Ruto slams ‘kieleweke’ team for ‘opposing’ his 2022 bid- VIDEO

Deputy President William Ruto has slammed a section of Jubilee leaders who have vowed to stop his 2022 presidential bid saying they will fail.

The Deputy President, who spoke during the fundraiser at Kamahuha Girls High School in Murang’a County on Wednesday, said a section of Jubilee leaders have been misled by the opposition to scuttle his ambitions, saying it would not succeed.

He told both the “Kieleweke” team and opposition to hold on their breaths until 2022 nears to embark on politics saying the electorate would decide at the ballot.

Jubilee has unofficially split into two teams: Kieleweke team (those opposed to Mr Ruto’s bid) and team tanga tanga (those backing his bid).

OPPOSITION

“There are people who have teamed up with opposition and have joined a movement dubbed Stop Ruto should hold on their horses and wait for the best time to do politics, they should understand that Kenyans will gain them on development projects and not by joining a group of confused and busy bodies who are out to split our party,” he said.

Dr Ruto added that he will continue crisscrossing the country with development agenda to ensure that the pre-election pledges are delivered.

@We have a clear plan and must live to ensure the promises we made during the campaigns are met, we even have money for the aged and the vulnerable where Mr Maina Kamanda is also eligible for the fund due to his age,” Dr Ruto said.

Mr Kamanda, nominated MP is one of the main critics of Dr Ruto’s 2022 candidature
