Economist David Ndii on Sunday clapped back at tweeps who claimed he had no right to speak about the economy because he is not an entrepreneur.
Ndii replied with a link showing that he is the chairman of an asset management firm Zimele.
@KEcurious had tweeted; “The problem with academics like @DavidNdii is they have no skin in the game. They comment on the economy, but don’t own businesses, aren’t entrepreneurs, don’t own hedge funds where they actually have to manage money, etc, etc.”
Ndii replied with a link “zimele.co.ke/board.”
Users started commenting how they had been investing with the firm for years and loved its services.
Yet another tweep nudged the economist to share his home for the first time when he asked why he always advises on assets and owns none.
Ndii paraded his Nairobi home showcasing his personal library and bar that featured expensive whiskies.
@chillary40 dared Ndii with a comment; “You advise so much yet u own nothing….point us a business you do.”
To that Ndii replied with photos of a beautiful home.
