Dandora residents find decomposing leg dumped near a river


Dandora residents were left puzzled after a decomposing leg was found dumped near Nairobi River on Tuesday evening.

The leg is believed to belong to a woman whose body parts were at the weekend found dumped in Ruaraka area.

Police say investigations are ongoing to trace the killers. The leg was taken to the city mortuary as investigations continue.

In Kayole, a suspected motorbike thief was on Tuesday night shot dead by police officers after he spotted with the stolen motorcycle.

According to the police, the deceased was in the company of his accomplice when they were stopped by police on patrol. The gang refused to comply to the police order and started shooting at the officers.

A handmade gun was and two mobile phones were recovered at the scene. His accomplice managed to escape on foot.

And a a separate incident, a police man is nursing injuries after he was stoned by an unknown individual in Kariobangi on Tuesday night.

The officer was with his colleague on patrol when the incident happened.

He was rushed to Jamii hospital with a deep cut on the left side of his forehead where he was treated and discharged.

Police said there was no provocation or commotion when the stone was thrown towards the officers. No arrests have been made.
