Couple loses car to gunmen
Unknown gunmen on Sunday night carjacked a couple in Mowlem, near Dandora, and made away with their car, two mobile phones, a watch and Sh8,000.
The four gunmen, according to Nairobi County Deputy Police Commandant Moses Ombati, forced their way into the car and drove it to an unknown location where they robbed the couple.
“They then drove around with the couple in the car, before dumping them near Buruburu,” Mr Ombati said.
Elsewhere a student in Ole Kasasi Secondary School drowned on Sunday while swimming with friends near the Africa Nazarene University.
The student and his three friends were swimming at the pool at around 2:00pm when the incident happened.
And in Kiamumbi, 18 year-old Francesca Mutike died after her cooking gas cylinder exploded.
The lady, according to Mr Ombati, arrived home at 7:30 pm. As she lit the cooker, the cylinder burst and seriously injured her. She was pronounced dead at the Kenyatta University clinic.
