Are City MPs copy-pasting each other’s CDF projects?

Youthful Nairobi MPs seem to be on a copy-paste mission in the recent craze of sponsoring youths for driving school courses.

Babu Owino (Embakasi East), Charles ‘Jaguar’ Njagua (Starehe ) and Nixon Korir (Lang’ata) have all sponsored youths for driving courses in the last few weeks.

The three parliamentarians seem to be copying from each other.  On September 26, both Babu and Nixon announced that they had sponsored young people to join driving schools.

A week after their announcement, Jaguar too announced his interim licenses handover ceremony for Starehe youths who had completed driving school.

Babu sponsored 300 youths to join Rocky driving school in a project he stated would cost Sh3 million and be drawn from the CDF kitty.

Korir’s number stood at “over 160” for driving school enrollment and others in different courses.

Jaguar’s number was placed at over 150 constituents as he handed them interim driving licences.

Both Korir and Babu have announced plans for new secondary schools in their constituencies and recently held a tournament in which Langata All Stars beat the Embakasi East FC team.
