City commuters stranded after morning train stalls at Imara Daima
Commuters using the Syokimau early morning train were on Monday stranded when it stalled at Imara Daima for hours.
The train, scheduled to arrive in the city centre at 7:30am, arrived at around 9am after it developed an engine problem.
According to the commuters, the train stopped for about 30 minutes before they were told that the engine had developed a problem.
Kenya Railways deployed another engine from the Railways headquarters to rescue the stranded passengers.
Hours later the journey resumed, but operations went on normally for the rest of the scheduled trains.
Here are some of the people who shared their disappointments online.
