Chris Kirubi’s family announces change of guard at Capital FM
Capital Group, the owners of Capital FM, has a new boss. Hitherto director of programmes Somoina Kimojino takes over as the managing director in acting capacity, according to Mary-Ann Musangi, a director with Capital Group.
Musangi is the daughter of Chris Kirubi alias DJ CK. Kimojino takes over after the exit of Cyrus Kamau, reported capitalfm.co.ke.
“She (Kimojino) is credited for steering the Koroga dream to what it is today,” said Musangi.
“Somoina brings to this position a wealth of experience in planning, execution, stakeholder engagement and in creating valuable partnerships. She is passionate about the Capital Group brand and is keen to continue to be associated with its successes.”
The new MD said she was excited about the new responsibility.
“It’s exciting to take the Capital FM brand to the next level. We are looking at growing our 360 degree media products with radio, online and also events,” she said.
