WATCH: Chinese man caught on tape insulting Uhuru arrested, faces deportation


The Chinese national who was caught on tape insulting Kenyans and President Uhuru Kenyatta has been arrested.

Liu Jiaqi who was scolding an employee in a motorcycle company was arrested on Thursday morning and his work permit cancelled.

The Immigration Department wrote that the man “will be deported on racism grounds.”

The department denied online reports that Liu Jiaqi was on his way back to China saying he was still being processed for deportation.

The Chinese national was filmed saying that every Kenyan – without exception – is a monkey.

He challenged the employee who was filming to go court saying he had no evidence of his abusive utterances.

When asked why he was doing business in Kenya with all the hatred he had for the citizens he said he was doing it for the money.

Kenyans on social media reacted angrily while tagging Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi and President Uhuru Kenyatta with demands that the foreigner be arrested and deported.

The last time President Kenyatta was insulted, the state charged Embakasi East MP Babu Owino with subversion and insulting the presidency.
