Child watched as I had sex, admits househelp
A house help has admitted to a charge of exposing her employer’s two-year-old child to obscene behaviour by having sex with a man in the presence of the minor.
Everlyn Osebe Omweli, 26, was caught in camera that her boss, Kelvin Kangethe, had installed in the sitting room of his house in Highrise estate in Nairobi.
INVITED MAN
The court heard that on November 26, Osebe invited a man into the house while her employer and his wife were away and the two started having sex while the child watched.
“It is an obscene act committed in the presence of a minor. I felt offended,” Mr Kang’ethe says in a statement he recorded at the Capitol Hill Police station.
The statement says he installed the camera after a video of a Ugandan maid assaulting her employer’s child went viral on social media.
“After two days, I downloaded the pictures and could not believe when I saw my maid having sex naked with a man in my sitting room while my child watched,” Mr Kangethe says in his statement.
He reported the matter to an Administration Police post nearby and on questioning, Ms Osebe admitted committing the offence.
MECHANIC
The case was referred to Capitol Hill police station where she was charged with contravening the Children Act, a charge she admitted before Kibera Principal Magistrate Lucas Onyina on Wednesday.
The man, said to be a mechanic at a nearby garage, evaded arrest, the prosecution said.
However, Ms Osebe could not be sentenced because Directorate of Criminal Investigation officers are still analyzing the video clip. The case will be mentioned on December 9.
