Chief heckler at City Hall spotted partaking of alcohol before chaos

A picture has emerged online showing some of the Members of County Assembly (MCAs) who were stars in the Monday’s City Hall chaos seemingly getting ready for the showdown.

The six county legislators, three male and three females, can be seen in a setting which is presumably a high-end joint enjoying bottles of White Cap beer and Jack Daniels where they took a selfie.

The MCAs later stormed City Hall where they attempted to evicted impeached speaker Beatrice Elachi.

The selfie has the chief heckler, nominated MCA Mary Njambi next tow two other nominated female MCAs, one dressed in a black top with stripes and the other in green top.

Njambi is dressed in the same outfit that she appeared in during the eviction attempt.2-(12)

The brainchild behind the impeachment motion, Waithaka MCA Anthony Kiragu Karanja alias ‘Bishop’ is also in the photo, but he does not have a drink in front of him save for a cup of tea and some bitings.

WREAKED HAVOC

After the rehearsal, what followed was commensurate with the effects of the liquids involved as the three female nominated MCAs wreaked havoc at the Speaker’s office leading in the shouting match and even breaking the doors.

The women kept the drama going for hours, pushing, screaming, shoving and doing some unthinkables as they piled pressure on Speaker Elachi to vacate her office.

Even a pepper spray by Ms Elachi could not deter them as they vowed: “Ametuwekea pilipili but hatujali. Lazima aende.”

Ms Njambi pulled tables and even took out chairs from the office and even wanted to take out the Speaker’s chair before being prevented by the Speaker’s personal assistant James Mwangi who had to put a fight to retrieve the chair from her.
