Burger King opens its first restaurant in Kenya


Burger King, the second largest fast food hamburger chain in the world, has opened its first restaurant in Nairobi.

The new fast food joint is located at The Hub Shopping Mall in Karen and was opened on Monday.

The first Kenyan Burger King outlet will add to the chain’s presence in Africa, which currently has locations in Egypt, Morocco, South Africa, and Ivory Coast.

WHOPPER SANDWICH

The restaurant will be independently owned and operated through a franchise agreement with NAS Airport Services Limited, a subsidiary of Servair, the third largest airline catering and logistics business globally and the category’s leader on the African continent.

The fast food chain has been serving guests for more than 60 years and are famous for their menu which includes the flame-grilled offerings of the Whopper sandwich, their brand’s flagship.

Founded in 1954, the Burger King brand is the second largest fast food hamburger chain in the world. The chain operates more than 15,000 locations in 100 countries.
