Banks to manage City Hall cash office shortlisted

By LILIAN MUTAVI December 11th, 2015 1 min read

The county government has shortlisted bidders to manage its cash office despite objections from MCAs.

The assembly had earlier demanded that the executive suspend the process of getting a bank to manage revenue collection.

City Hall argues that employees find it hard to manage the money collected after official working hours.

“The county losses revenue to officers who fail to remit collections. Hiring a bank will reduce corruption and the revenue will greatly increase,” said an officer at the procurement office.
