Teargas, gunshots as police disperse Cord protest march – VIDEO

Anti riot lobbed teargas canisters and shot in the air to disperse a protest match led by opposition leaders at the offices of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

Cord principals Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula had just arrived with their supporters at Anniversary Towers, where the IEBC offices are housed, when the anti-riot police moved to disperse them.

Nairobi County police commander Japheth Koome had earlier said that the Cord leaders will not be allowed to stage a sit-in at the IEBC offices.
