Eight Ambira High boys locked up for 7 days

By VICTOR OTIENO November 26th, 2018 1 min read

All the eight Ambira Boys High School students caught on video last week hurling insults at Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed and her Interior counterpart Dr Fred Matiang’i have been arraigned in court.

The minors, who appeared before Resident Magistrate Gladys Adhiambo at Ukwala Law Court in Siaya County, however, did not take plea after the prosecution requested for seven more days to conclude investigations.

HURLING INSULTS

Justice Adhiambo granted the prosecution the prayers and ordered the minors to be detained at children cells in Ugunja police station.

The matter will come for further mention on December 3, 2018.

The eight students were caught on tape last week hurling unprintables at the two CSs, and claiming to have cheated in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations.
