New matatu rules are useless if not enforced
While Kenya has never been short of rules and regulations pertaining to transport, what we lack is the will to enforce them. Unfortunately, the more the rules, the more corrupt police benefit.
Corruption is at the core of our national problems and that goes beyond the police force.
The way the matatus break traffic rules is disgusting and what do the police do about it? Nothing untill “kitu kidogo” is forthcoming. Let us hope and pray this time around things will be handled differently.
