New app for hotel and travel offers
Travelers and tour agents can access holiday packages and hotel residence offers through a new service launched on Monday by gogothere.net, a portal run by Karibu Travel and Tours.
The new service offers packages exclusively custom-made for the tourism management company to cater to the needs of holidaymakers during the December festive season.
The self-service portal contains a variety of booking options with competitive rates and is set to rival renowned international and local market leaders like Travelport and Travelstart.
Speaking during the launch, Karibu Travel and Tours chairman, Sudhir Pathak said that the port is meant to improve customer service and make it easy for travelers to make hustle-free bookings.
NEGOTIATED FARES
Travelers are able to make flight searches and bookings from a list of airlines and hotels – some of which feature negotiated fares are rates.
“Karibu enjoys a cordial relationship with other players in the industry like the hotels, airlines and other suppliers in the sector. This has enabled us to get very good rates, a benefit that we have always passed onto our customers’,” he said.
Like the predecessors, after creating an account from tour company websites, agents or travelers are able to log in and do a flight search-that brings airfares of the most cost-friendly airlines at the top- and proceed filling personal details, make payment and receive an e-ticket and a text with the flight details concurrently.
Although individual’s bookings are eligible, to access discounts, the portal is more appropriate for agents making bulk reservations.
TRAVEL PACKAGES
Besides selling tickets online, the interactive one-stop-shop plans to roll out all-inclusive travel packages to ease travel headaches.
The portal will incorporate car rental before end of March next year, buying of bus and rail tickets before end of June and October respectively.
Additionally, terms of bookings indicate that each ticket bought is to be used on the specified date and is valid for 24 hours.
Although cancellations can be done, refund will be conducted under the house policies. Established eight years ago, Karibu Tours and Travel Company before the launch of the portal, organised international and local tourism packages for travelers.
