Nazarene tells off CUE on threat to close Nairobi campuses
The Commission for University Education has been criticised for playing ‘politics’ with the issue of satellite campuses strewn in urban areas throughout the country.
On Sunday, the Africa Nazarene University’s School of Governance, Peace and Security Chair Solomon Njenga dismissed the higher education regulator’s notice warning parents and students on the closure of eight campuses in Nairobi County.
The commission failed to inform the affected universities of the imminent closure and the consequences of the action before going to the media, he said.
“Instead, they opted to communicate to the universities concerned through a press advert,” said Dr Njenga.
