Nameless recovering after surgery to remove blood clot in brain

Kenyan musician Nameless is on the mend after undergoing surgery to remove a blood clot in his brain.

The musician was rushed to hospital after his friends noticed “something wrong with him” as he left a meeting.

Doctors diagnosed his condition to be “very serious” and immediately admitted him pending surgery.

Initial tests were inconclusive on the cause of his condition, but he was later found to have ruptured an artery in the brain that caused the blood clot.

WELL KEPT SECRET

At the time, his condition was a well kept secret among a circle of friends and his wife Wahu.

The musician was in hospital bed for three weeks.

He told a local newspaper this week that he is now out of danger.

“That was a close call. I thank God that I am out of danger,” he said in an interview.

His sudden hospitalisation saw his managers cancel a concert performance in Uganda that was scheduled for Thursday last week. The reason they gave was that he was “under the weather” and could not travel to Uganda.

Speaking to Nation.co.ke last week, his wife Wahu  said: “Yes he is still in hospital but it’s nothing serious. He will be discharged tomorrow.”

Wahu, however, declined to comment on what Nameless was ailing from.

“I can’t comment on that, let’s wait until he gets better then he can speak for himself,” she said.

We at Nairobi News wish him a quick recovery.
