Nakuru All Stars sack coach Oliver Page

German coach Oliver Page became the second coach to be fired in the Kenyan Premier League after he was sacked by Nakuru All Stars following a string of poor results.

A statement in the club’s official website confirmed Page’s sacking barely two months after he was hired to lead the club in their first season in the Kenyan Premier League.

“The Board of Nakuru AllStars have relieved Oliver Page from his responsibilities as head coach of the Premier League team. The decision was made yesterday, the 4th day of March 2014.

“The Board feels this is the only option, as the coach and the players never manage to find common ground, which reflected the performance in the first three games in the Premier League.

“The club would like to thank Oliver Page for his services to the club, in the time that he has been with us, and we do wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” read the statement.

First assistant coach Peter Okidi returns to the head coach position on an interim basis.

Nakuru All Stars have found the going tough in the league and are bottom of the league after three loses from their first three opening games.

The club has  lost 0-3 against Sony Sugar, 0-1 to Thika United and 0-3 against Sofapaka.

Fans have been calling for the German to be sacked and it appears they have gotten their wish.

Two weeks ago Western Stima sacked coach Francis Baraza after allegations of bribery were labeled against him.
