Why Nairobians are unimpressed with Sonko’s newly launched Data Centre

Nairobi governor Mike Sonko on Monday launched a data centre at City Hall but online, Nairobians wanted other projects launched.

On Monday, the governor hosted President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto for the launch.

During the event, Sonko explained how the centre will allow online payments to the county government.

He went on to explain how the project was funded by the World Bank and the ICT authority with the county contributing Sh380 million.

Nairobians, however, unleashed their wrath on the governor accusing him of misplaced priorities.
