Nairobi woman out on bond for charge of third attempt to kill ex-husband
A 36 year-old woman accused of plotting to kill her husband after he divorced her and married another woman has been released on a bond of Sh2 million awaiting trial.
Juliet Mwelu Musyoka denied the charge of conspiracy to kill Thomas Musyoka Muli.
She was arrested on December 16, 2015 along Accra road, in the city centre, after detectives posing as hitmen met her at an undisclosed location.
Prosecution said Ms Mwelu is not new to the conspiracy as this was her third attempt to look for hitmen to eliminate her former husband.
Prosecutor Eddy Kadede told the court that Ms Mwelu’s accomplice had already been charged in the case and is awaiting trial next month.
