Nairobi Journalist needs your help to find his missing daughter

A Nairobi based journalist is asking for you help to locate his missing 22 year-old daughter.

Shirley Waigumo Wachira, a student at Kenya Methodist University, has been missing for over a week now.

Her father Patrick Wachira, the Special Projects and Assignment Editor at People Daily, said the family last saw Shirley last week Thursday morning when she left home to go to the university.

“When she left the house (in Utawala) she said she was heading to the university for clearance. We have not heard from her since then,” he said.

Shirley has just finished a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition at the university and was waiting for her graduation .

She finished her internship two weeks ago at Langata Hospital, Mr Wachira said.

“Shirley is about 5.3 ft tall, she has chocolate complexion and she also has long natural hair that hangs to the shoulders,” her father explained.

The family has reported the matter to the police in Embakasi, but so far there has been no information on her whereabouts.

“Police are trying to do their bit to track her phone, but so far there is no further information about her,” Mr Wachira said.

The editor said the girl’s phone has been off since Friday and that there has been no activity on her social media pages.

The family can be reached via mobile numbers 0722 562419 and 0722 562557.

Reports can also be made at police stations.
