Muslim body denounces Peter Kenneth’s endorsement
A Muslim body has denounced claims of the community endorsing Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Peter Kenneth as their favored choice.
The Kenya Muslim Caucus, through a press statement, said that at no point have the Muslims met to decide to support any candidate in position of power.
“Any Muslim organization that purports to have done that should be treated with the contempt it deserves. From experience we have come to know the so called Muslim organization that always appear only during election time for their own personal interests and not for the interests of the Muslim community,” read part of the statement.
The body also said that when the right time comes the Kenya Muslim Caucus and other Muslim bodies will come out and give the Muslim community proper guidance, how to approach and support aspirants on the forthcoming elections.
