MP claims Governor isolating them

Ruaraka MP Tom Kajwang’  has accused the Governor of isolating MPs in management of city affairs.

Mr Kajwang’ said Dr Evans Kidero would not go far in his development plans if he did not change his methods.

“Despite our requests to create a forum to bring the 17 elected MPs to prioritise issues affecting our people, the governor has chosen to go the one-man show way,” he said.

He argued that the forum would help them avoid duplication of functions.

“If we agree to build a bridge using CDF money, for example, there would be no need for City Hall to put aside money for the same,” he said.

According to the MP, Dr Kidero had publicly shown his detest for MPs.

“Even if he is attending a function in your constituency, you are not guaranteed that you will be called to address the meeting,” he said.
