Mourners celebrate Big Kev’s life in all-white memorial service – PHOTOS


It was an all-white affair as Kenyans turned up for the memorial service of celebrated events Kevin Ombajo.

The service for Ombajo, popularly known as Big Kev, was attended by among others Nairobi deputy governor Jonathan Mueke and his wife Catherine.

Mourners congregated at the Nairobi Baptist Church, Ngong Road to celebrate the life of the entertainment mogul.

Big Kev succumbed to a long battle with a brain tumour on Saturday at the Nairobi Hospital where he had been admitted.

The founder of Tru Blaq entertainment had been diagnosed with cancer in 2011 and had undergone over 10 surgeries and lost his sight in 2015.

Big Kev’s wife Tracy and daughter Shanna were present in the Thursday memorial service.

The late Big Kev will be laid to rest on Saturday, August 5 in Gem, Siaya County.
